Guiyang Arrival, transfer to Kaili.
Your local guide will meet you at the airport and pick you up to your hotel in a private vehicle. After 2.5hours, we arrive at Kaili, the capical city of the Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Southeast Guizhou. If we arrive Kaili early, we can visit the old street of Kaili, where there is a small market.
The rest of today is yours to explore this city on your own.
After breakfast, we will visit Kaili Ethnic Minority Museum, where you can get a general idea of the Miao and the Dong in this region.
Then visit Qingman Village, where the women wear a kind of traditional short-skirt. In a local household, you may see the traditional way of dying cotton material.
The last stop of today is Shiqiao Miao Village, where you will not only experience the Miao's culture, but also see the traditional way of making paper from the bark of mulberry tree.
After tour, driven back to Kaili.
Today you will continue to explore the real life of the Miao around Kaili.
The first we are going to explore shall be Xijiang Miao Village, the largest Miao village in Asia, with more than 1000 Miao households. While Twalking on the paths, you will appreciate an amazing view of the river valley with terraced fields, and intricate wooden houses. Women in the village still dress up in lots of ornamental silver jewelry.
After lunch, move on to Langde Miao village and then to Datang short-skirt Miao Village, where another branch of Miao live for hundreds of years，which makes this village special is the unique ‘miniskirts', as short as 10 centimeters, that the local women wear all year round. You will also see the unique waterproof granaries there.
After visit, been transferred back to Kaili.
Today you will be driven back to Guiyang city. On the way, visit Matang Gejia Village, where the Gejia, a subgroup of the Miao minority, live for hundreds of years. You will appreciate the traditional Gejia batik in the village, learning the art of batik.
After the tour, be escorted to Guiyang Airport for your flight to your next destination.
