Wanfenglin, like a dazzling pearl bestowed by nature upon Xingyi, boasts numerous remarkable highlights.
The unique karst landform of Wanfenglin is truly extraordinary. Thousands of peaks rise abruptly from the ground and stretch continuously, forming a forest of mountains. It is about 200 kilometers long and 30 - 50 kilometers wide, with a magnificent scale and imposing momentum. The peaks come in diverse shapes. Some resemble sharp swords shooting straight into the sky, some look like graceful maidens standing gracefully, and others seem like arhats arranged in formation. Together, they sketch a picture of nature's uncanny workmanship, truly deserving the title of "The Museum of Cone Karst in China". Xu Xiake once exclaimed, "There are so many mountains in the world, but only here do the peaks form a forest", accurately capturing its uniqueness.
The landscapes here are rich and varied. The eight scenic features of peaks, ridges, pits, fissures, forests, lakes, springs, and caves are scattered in a scattered yet orderly manner. Amidst the overlapping mountains, there are ancient villages with a long history. The Bouyei people have lived here for generations, passing down the ancient art of Bayinzuochang. With eight kinds of musical instruments and eight musicians, they convey their ethnic culture through rap and singing, and the lingering music is truly enchanting. There are also lush green rice paddies that present different sceneries throughout the seasons. In spring, thousands of mu of rape flowers are in full bloom, like a golden ocean; in autumn, the golden rice ears sketch out an extremely beautiful pastoral scenery, just like a paradise on earth.
